Rising is a nine and a half foot tall dining set made from cherry and discarded furniture/scrap wood. The table is the first in a series of explorations aimed at exploring the authority of luxury materials and design, set as the standard which the chairs attempt to rise towards. It is an ode to the struggle to aspire to a given standard that we face in love, art and life.
